Edition Panitz
Sheet Music for Classical Guitar
News: (ordered latest to oldest)
- after two years of idle time I started to work on Tinte again. It now has
a Gui-frontend with a primitive preview facility, i.e. a tiny dvi interpreter.
For those interested in sheet music: The first movement of the long promised
Moretti Duo is finished. I hope to upload it soon on this site.
- Tinte is now able to typeset polyphonic music. As a result you
can find a lied by Schubert typeset with Tinte on this site.
- I wrote a short internal report about my typesetting program
Tinte:
S. E. Panitz
"Tinte: developing a prototype for typesetting music in Clean --
a case study".
- A first release of the divertimenti by Antonio Nava typeset with
my own system Tinte is now available
- The music to be found on this page had been typeset with a macro
package for TeX. Because I am not very virtous in programming
things in TeX, I started to write my own program for typesetting music.
The codename of the program is tinte (tinte is not tex).
tinte is developed in
Clean a higher-order, polymorphically typed, lazy, functional,
general purpose language, which I can recommend strongly to
anyone.

I just finished my PhD-thesis in computer science.
Thus I have a little more spare time again (although I have to apply for
a new job now).
As an immediate consequence there is a first (draft) edition of
the long promised Duo by Meissonier ready to download now.
There are some known and I guess a lot of unknown smaller bugs
in this edition, but it can at least be used for playing the piece.
Please let me know, if you find some.
-
I revised the Monzino sonata. This means things like added page
numbers a new introduction and so on.
From now on facsimiles of the original front pages are distributed
seperately.
